Veritas Facade capability

Inspection reports

Turn structured facade findings into professional reports, with optional engineering review pathways where the engagement requires it.

Inspection reports are the formal output of Veritas Facade. Structured findings, photos and location context feed report generation so the deliverable reflects what was captured on site rather than a rewritten summary assembled under time pressure.

Workspaces can follow standard reporting pathways and, where the commercial engagement requires it, escalate into engineering review workflows. Engineering review is an explicit pathway, not an automatic claim that every report is engineer-certified.

Reports remain useful because they sit on top of the same digital record the owner can revisit later in portal and remediation views.

The problem this solves

PDF-only inspection businesses often lose the operating record the moment the report is emailed. The next annual inspection starts almost from scratch, and remediation tracking disconnects from the original evidence.

Veritas Facade keeps the report as an output of a living dataset so re-inspection, client questions and repair closeout can refer back to the same findings.

Workflow narrative

  1. 1. Complete field capture and review

Confirm findings, photos and classifications are complete for the inspection scope.

  2. 2. Generate the report pathway

Produce the standard or engineering-pathway report appropriate to the engagement.

  3. 3. Review and issue

Internal review, optional engineering review and client issue follow workspace process.

  4. 4. Retain the digital record

Keep findings available beyond the PDF for portal access, remediation and future inspections.

Outcomes

  • Faster report assembly from structured evidence
  • Clearer separation between standard and engineering pathways
  • Persistent digital record behind the issued PDF
  • Better audit trail for later questions

Applicable standards

  • AS 4349.0:2007Inspection of buildings - general requirements
  • Engagement scopeReport pathway defined by commercial and professional requirements

Limitations

Engineering review is scoped

External or specialist engineering endorsement is engagement-dependent and not implied for every report.

Usage billing

Report generation and unlock pathways may attract usage charges according to current platform pricing.

FAQ

Common questions

Are all facade reports engineer-certified?
No. Engineering review is an available pathway when the engagement requires it. Standard inspection reports follow the configured reporting workflow.
Can we re-issue after remediation?
Yes. The digital record supports follow-on packages and later inspections rather than treating the first PDF as the only artefact.
Do clients only receive a PDF?
Clients can receive issued reports and, where enabled, ongoing portal access to the underlying building record.
What standards are referenced?
Reporting commonly references AS 4349 and related envelope standards relevant to the scope. Exact citations depend on the inspection brief.
